Overview

The role of the Production Laborer is to perform necessary functions to efficiently, safely, and correctly prepare and process raw material using a wide range of methods and equipment for shipment to customers.

Responsibilities

Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
Rotate to different production lines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ensure product conforms to specifications. Prepare and sort meat for processing by hand or by using equipment. Work with machinery for sorting, sizing, and packaging. Inspect meat for defects. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Apply quality assurance practices, hygiene and sanitation practices, and safe work policies and procedures. Learn and understand the concepts of (what do these acronyms stand for) HACCP, SOP, and GMP. Sort product before loading and unloading. Attach identifying tags to individual product and/or containers or mark them with identifying information.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly line processes is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs. Physical ability to lift, move, and assemble products as required throughout the shift.

Pay: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour
