The Production Engineer's primary responsibility is to support all areas of Production activity at Dravon, including RF Welding, Hot Stamping, Heat Sealing, Die Cutting and Leak Decay testing. The role performs as a service layer between the engineering and manufacturing functions, ensuring proper set-up of machinery and ensuring that Dravon produces products that consistently meet customer technical specifications. Typical duties of the role include but are not limited to the following:
1. Ensure proper maintenance, set-up and sign-off to Production of machinery that enables the business to produce products that consistently meet customer technical specifications. Machinery includes the following:
RF Welders and Weld Dies
Hot Stamper
Die Cutting Press
Bag Sealers
Leak Decay Test Equipment
Any other equipment/machinery used in Production
2. Work with all energy sources utilized at Dravon Medical and follow all safety procedures and precautions.
3. Work with QA and Production in the Verification and Validation of Tooling and Equipment.
4. Work with Engineering, Quality Assurance and Production with R&D Prototyping.
5. Identify and implement process and fixturing improvements for Production.
6. Write Tooling Histories.
7. Write and execute machine installation, set-up, and validation reports.
8. Work with Management, QA, Engineering and Production in writing any applicable protocols.
9. Agree to uphold and promote the Dravon Medical Quality Policy.
Required skills and competencies
Experience in manufacturing and/or engineering environments, with hands-on machine set-up and maintenance experience.
Wide understanding of general machine shop and fabrication processes, especially in RF Welding or other work with thermoplastics.
Proven organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Clear and precise communication skills, including technical writing proficiency.
Good general computer skills, preferably with experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
