We're seeking an organized, proactive Production Coordinator to join our media and training team in Jacksonville, Florida. If you're eager to learn about creative production and turning ideas into reality, this position is perfect for you.
As
Production Coordinator
for RailPros' Training & Media Services group, you will work with the director of media, graphic designers, instructional designers, videographers, and editors to produce engaging media for our projects. This role requires clear communication, project coordination, and a balance of independent initiative and teamwork across assignments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the practical and logistical aspects of media production, ensuring projects stay within scope, on budget, and on schedule from pre-production through post-production.
Review scripts, develop shot sheets, hire crew, create production schedules, and oversee daily tasks to keep projects on track.
Assist with writing and editing scripts, as needed.
Adapt to various production settings, including studio setups, executive offices, and railroad properties.
Assist on set, serving as script supervisor, monitor assistant, teleprompter operator, handling craft services, or any other needs.
Manage the Media Library by uploading and tagging all footage. Share footage with graphic designers, instructional designers, and editors as needed for post-production.
Search for and book voice talent. Oversee audio sessions and files.
Collaborate actively with internal team and contractors, including designers, developers, and editors, to provide engaging footage through location shoots or from our existing library.
For shoots, coordinate travel itineraries by booking flights, lodging, and transportation. Serve as a point of contact for us and the client, communicating call times, schedule changes, and related details.
Coordinate deliverables, gather crucial assets, and proactively follow up on tasks.
Master our processes by following version control and properly archiving each project to keep resources quickly and easily accessible.
Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Experience in creative environments, such as internships, school projects, or personal work, is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to proofread work of self, and others, to improve quality, consistency, and readability.
Highly proficient in time management, organization, planning and prioritization.
Work well in collaborative environments.
A problem-solver, able to handle theunexpected.
Comfortable with technology and adapt quickly to new tools.
Proficiency with electronic communications including email and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
Detail-oriented, positive attitude, reliable, and organized.
Required Education and Experience
Basic understanding of the pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
Preferred Education and Experience
1 year or relevant internship working in a production environment
Familiarity with Adobe Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
