Lockheed Martin Space in has an immediate opportunity for a Production Control Support Specialist (Manufacturing Resource Planner) to join our mission. In this an MRP role, you will work alongside our Production Planning & Control Team to support operations and production of space electronics. You'll work with several talented stakeholder groups overseeing the development and implementation of new projects with a diverse group of customers. The primary areas of focus will be supporting the logistics required to successfully build and deliver manufactured hardware.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

  • Use Enterprise Resource planning tools (SAP) to conduct logistics planning, management, and tracking activities.
  • Support remove and replace operations for defective parts.
  • Identify part shortages and develop stock shortage mitigation plans to maintain continued work.
  • Create production orders that drive manufacturing activities.
  • Kit parts and materials required to support hardware builds.
  • Coordinate shipping and logistics activities between manufacturing and other supporting facilities.
  • Provide on-going logistics support in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Evaluate material issues/concerns to determine impacts to business operations.
  • Interact with key project/program stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in one or multiple of the following areas: Production Planning & Control, Inventory Management, Manufacturing/Production Operations, Procurement, or Logistics
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • For facility access reasons, U.S. citizenship is required
Desired skills
  • Prefer 2+ years of prior experience in one or multiple of the following areas: Production Planning & Control, Inventory Management, Manufacturing/Production Operations, Procurement, or Logistics
  • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as SAP or understanding of ERP systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to proactively identify and drive change
  • Willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
