ELMET is seeking a

Shipping Room Specialist, Mon - Fri 7am - 3pm

. This position is based in Lewiston Maine.

Pay Range: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour.

Full Time, Year-round position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Eligible to work in the US - Must meet ITAR Requirements. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time Read and write English is a must. Must be able to pass a General Skills exam.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Correctly reads, interprets and understands necessary shipping documents Performs and analyzes inventory cycle counts Performs required data entry as required and as directed Orders necessary supplies as required and/or as directed Inspects parts and assemblies verifying the correct product and quantity of product to be packaged and shipped Builds packaging as needed Packages products to ensure quality will be maintained during shipment Uses the El system as trained Loads and unloads trucks of items to be received and to be shipped Accurately receives incoming materials. Inspect incoming goods for condition of packaging and quantities received Operates fork truck to move stock to/from storage racks and truck Accurately ships outgoing materials and products Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean Direct the efforts of peers, lower grade operators or contract personnel as required or as directed Follows all company safety policies and procedures and reports all accidents, hazards and equipment problems Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of and ability to perform basic math functions Ability to gain knowledge of and utilize inventory management systems Ability to use basic hand measuring tools Basic computer proficiency, including documentation data entry and report generation Good oral and written communication skills Ability to obtain Fork Truck Operator certification Must meet ITAR (International Traffic in Arms) requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift and maneuver up to fifty (50) pounds Routinely operates/uses equipment, machines, and tools requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity Routinely communicates face-to-face and via telephone Routinely performs duties in production floor environment Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling and stopping Must be able to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire work shift on concrete floors Must be able to wear protective gear
