at our meat processing plant, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and food safety. This position involves performing various production line tasks, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
Operate and maintain production machinery and tools.
Inspect meat products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), sanitation, and hygiene guidelines.
Package finished meat products for distribution.
Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Follow USDA and company safety and quality regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Previous experience in meat processing or food production is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in cold and fast-paced environments.
Work Environment
Work hours may vary based on department needs.
The position is primarily based in the meat processing area.
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and production equipment.
The noise level is generally low to moderate.
The temperature in the production area is approximately 40F (4C).
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Regularly lift up to 20 lbs (9 kg), frequently lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg), and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, climbing, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and continuous standing throughout the shift.
Occasional pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs (68 kg).
Regular use of hands and fingers to handle or operate tools and equipment.
