Cascade Body Jewelry is hiring for a part time production assistant.

We are a small but growing company in need of additional help to continue to make that happen. Plenty of room to advance your career as the company grows and has a need for more specialized department leads. The owner is a former body piercer with over 20 years experience in the industry before starting Cascade Body Jewelry. We make high quality body jewelry using implant grade titanium and sell wholesale exclusively to professional piercing studios. Please visit our website to view our inventory. The position is part time with the likely opportunity to progress to full time soon. The schedule will consist of 3 10 hour shifts with weekend availability required once all training is mastered and you can work independently. The atmosphere, while occasionally stressful, maybe even chaotic when trying to meet deadlines, is pretty laid back and generally come as you are. Some of the work will be done side by side with others and some work will be done by yourself.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Take jewelry through all steps of the finishing process Provide repeated quality control checks Accurately sort and count finished parts to add to inventory Pull and put together orders to send Light housekeeping as needed Assist machinists as needed
Skills Needed:

Good hand dexterity and ability to sit and manipulate very small parts repetitively for an extended period of time Good eye for very small detail with ability to consistently perform quality checks and recognize problems to ensure our customers receive the highest quality possible Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to learn specific steps and processes involved working with different media and compounds to give our titanium products a mirror shine Basic math skills with understanding of decimal and fractional measurements in inches and mm Basic hand tool use Reliable attendance and punctuality Able to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground Able to squat and kneel to the ground occasionally Able to follow given directions but does not require constant supervision to complete work duties appropriately Able to tolerate an environment with loud machine noise Able to tolerate working with crushed walnut shell on a daily basis (allergen) Be open to learning or help creating new finishing and machining processes as we add new products to our inventory
