Tankless Water Heating System Production Builder - 1st Shift, Comstock Park

produces industry-leading commercial tankless water heating systems in our shop.

SUMMARY:

Bolting up aluminum frames, prepping units, hanging units, running MC cabling to distribution panel, connecting wiring harnesses for units, pumps and controllers, running assembling and adding copper and iron manifolds and fittings and updating work orders using a tablet. These builds are complex and require mechanical aptitude, working from prints, shop math, measuring and joining pipe, fitting pipe, proficiency with tools and equipment and good attention to detail. Must follow safety and quality policies, meet KPI's and be a team player. Special consideration will be given to candidates with plumbing or piping experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Compliance w/ all safety policies and company procedures; Read and work from written diagrams, instructions and prints; Proficiently operate hand and power tools (wrenches, drill, impact, saw, torch, grinder, pipe cutter, nail gun, crimp tool, pipe vice, threaders); Perform hands-on assembly and wiring of components and/or sub-assemblies; Bolt together racks, prep unions, install MC cable and wiring harnesses; Complete work on time in accordance with production plan KPI; Pay attention to detail and be mindful of quality; Work independently and as part of a team; Keep work area safe and clean daily; Use a tablet to update work orders; Other duties, as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

Background and drug screen; HS Diploma, GED or equivalent; Authorized to work in US; Great attendance and demonstrated, applicable recent work history; Demonstrate proficiency with shop equipment, hand and power tools; Familiarity or experience with plumbing or pipefitting HIGHLY PREFERRED; Hands-on mechanical aptitude and mentality to build from prints / diagrams; Excellent interpersonal skills to professionally communicate with the team; Strong work ethic and ability to handle the physical demands of the job; Willingness and ability to perform physically strenuous tasks during shift, i.e., some lifting (up to 60 lbs), bending; standing, twisting, turning or squatting
