The Product Manager III is responsible for managing one or more product categories. Responsibilities include maintaining product life cycle, developing 5 year multi-generation product roadmaps, conducting competitive benchmarking exercises, identifying and filling product gaps, leading cross-functional teams to develop new products, leading projects through stage-gate PDP product development process, managing product cost and profitability, leading product cost-reduction activities, conducting voice of customer exercises, monitoring and adapting product portfolio strategy to changing industry regulations and market trends, leading product commercialization efforts, providing marketing support for product training, sales training, promotions, pricing and product literature.

This position will serve our Replacement Parts Division, located in Randleman, NC.

WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL DO:

\xc2\xb7 Oversee product life cycle & mgmt., development, profitability and market share growth of assigned products categories.

\xc2\xb7 Lead cross-functional team on product development projects utilizing the Product Development Council and Product Development Process.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with engineering and Product Manager to drive cost reduction activities to maintain and grow product portfolio profitability

\xc2\xb7 Lead competitive benchmarking activities to identify and address product gaps. These include product tear-downs, PEP process, customer surveys, online research and other benchmarking methodologies.

\xc2\xb7 Develop and maintain a 5 year multi-generation product road map

\xc2\xb7 Liaison with quality group to monitor product quality and warranty metrics. Assist in setting up and implementing product quality correction solutions and programs.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with other Rheem divisions to promote cross divisional partnerships in jointly developing products and new technologies and sharing best practices

\xc2\xb7 Develop product category dashboard and reports to monitor and drive growth in market share, unit volume, profitability, customer mix, product mix and market trends.

\xc2\xb7 Provide analysis regarding marketing programs and product portfolio enhancements for assigned products.

\xc2\xb7 Perform market research & customer sensing activities required to refine product designs.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Marketing, Finance to ensure profitable growth of product category and successful execution of various product development projects.

\xc2\xb7 Set Strategy for marketing and commercialization activities for product launches

\xc2\xb7 Provide product leadership at customer and internal events & meetings

\xc2\xb7 Support the development and maintenance of product literature, product training, sales training, product pricing and product marketing materials

Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED:

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor degree in marketing, business management, engineering or related field

\xc2\xb7 7+ years of experience in Product Mgmt., Marketing, Sales, or Engineering related fields

\xc2\xb7 5+ years of experience with New Product Development Process of engineered products

\xc2\xb7 3+ years of experience with data analysis including statistical and uncertainty analysis.

\xc2\xb7 3+ years of experience in reading, analyzing and interpreting technical procedures and standards

\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.

\xc2\xb7 Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated project management and team leadership skills.

\xc2\xb7 Strong analytical, organization, time management and multi\xe2\x80\x90tasking skills.

\xc2\xb7 Highly energetic and a self-starter.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to think outside the box to offer new ideas, concepts, solutions, etc.

\xc2\xb7 Capable of maintaining sensitive/confidential information.

\xc2\xb7 Engineering or marketing background with industry experience preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to extensively travel internationally without restrictions.

HOW TO STAND OUT:

\xc2\xb7 Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in marketing or business management

\xc2\xb7 Prior experience in product management preferred

\xc2\xb7 Sales, marketing, or HVAC industry experience preferred
