Key Responsibilities
Work with team to own the end-to-end development process for innovative seasonal, replenishment, core, and special-event product lines -- taking styles from initial concept through sampling, costing, fit approval, and final production.
Create, maintain, and issue 100% accurate, production-ready tech packs (detailed technical drawings, graded specs, BOM, construction callouts, artwork placement, labels, packaging, trims, and hardware).
Build and actively manage the time-and-action (T&A) calendar / critical path to ensure on-time delivery of all prototypes, samples, and bulk production.
Partner daily with domestic and international vendors throughout the sampling process (Proto, Fit, Size-Set, PP, TOP) to protect design intent, fit, quality, and brand aesthetic.
Lead cost-engineering and margin negotiations with vendors to hit target IMU goals without sacrificing quality or design vision.
Approve lab dips, strike-offs, hand-looms, trim submissions, print/embroidery files, and all pre-production submissions.
Actively participate in fittings and wear testing; own fit consistency, grading rules, and the brand block library across categories and seasons.
Establish and enforce quality-control standards for every style; rigorously evaluate samples and final production to ensure they meet or exceed company quality benchmarks and brand values.
Serve as the final gatekeeper for bulk production approval -- only releasing production when fit, specs, quality, and compliance are 100% met.
Enter and maintain all product data (styles, SKUs, costing, images, specs, approvals) in the PLM/PDM system with full accuracy.
Conduct risk assessments on new materials, constructions, or suppliers and proactively resolve issues during development and production.
Work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Design, Sourcing, Planning, and Marketing teams to drive seamless execution from concept to final product.
Stay ahead of market trends and provide consumer-focused insight on the commercial viability and styling direction of new collections.
Balance brand identity guidelines with creative innovation to elevate visual storytelling and strengthen the overall brand aesthetic.
Maintain a proactive, positive, and professional attitude while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors at all levels.
