WCF Insurance is growing, and the Product team has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a

Product Analyst

. This is a full-time, exempt position that

works in the WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters building (Tuesday - Thursday)

and will report to the Manager, Product Analytics.


The Product Analyst supports the development and execution of pricing and product strategies through data analysis, market research, and performance monitoring. This role plays a critical part in delivering data-driven insights that inform decision-making and help ensure competitive, compliant, and profitable insurance offerings across multiple states and lines of business.

Responsibilities

Product & Pricing Support

Assist in the development and monitoring of pricing strategies and product performance. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as loss ratios, retention, and new business growth. Support the preparation and maintenance of rate manuals and regulatory filings. Research competitor products, pricing strategies, and market trends.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the product portfolio. Build and maintain reports and dashboards to track product performance and support decision-making. Develop and maintain tools and dashboards to measure the impact of proposed pricing or product changes, supporting data-driven recommendations and decision-making Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute analytical insights to support business initiatives.

Accountability & Requirements

Deliver accurate and timely analysis to support pricing and product decisions. Maintain high standards of data integrity and documentation. Meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Contribute to the success of product initiatives through collaboration and proactive problem-solving. Support the continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes, and methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field. 1-3 years of work experience, preferably in commercial insurance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and extract actionable insights. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with SQL, Python, or Power BI tools is a plus. Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Expected salary for this position is $68,000 - $85,000 depending on experience and education.

Internal candidates should have acceptable job performance, 6 months in their current position, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
