What you will be doing:



This position supports divisions throughout the department by creating and managing professional procurements for a variety of equipment and services. This position is also responsible for the department's annual inventory process and supports daily office operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in

Computer Skills: Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work. Contracting/Procurement/Property Control: Knowledge of various types of contracts, techniques, or requirements for contracting or procurement, contract negotiation and administration; procedures for routine and non-routine purchases; practices and methods used for property control activities, including acquisition, storage, accounting, and controlled property excess. Oral and Written Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral and written presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Reasoning: Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.


Equivalent to those typically gained by:

Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or experience in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, project management, or a related field performing property control, purchasing, contract administration, writing or approving solicitations, explaining contracting requirements, developing or approving product specifications or, developing or approving a scope of work for professional services.

"Typically gained by" means the prevalent, usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.
