Under close supervision, performs simple and routine duties in wafer fabrication manufacturing duties in the MOCVD production area. . Closely follows written instructions and oral directions.
Handle and transfer product (semiconductor wafers) carefully so that mistakes are avoided, starting material and finished product are not damaged and quality and safety standards are adhered to. Perform the following activities per standard operating procedures.
- Use our MES (Manufacturing Execution System -Wiptrac) to check and document the status of production equipment.
- Follow and update workflow within Wiptrac.
- Verify and maintain wafer identification and numeric lot identifications.
- Perform hardware cleaning using prescribed wet cleaning processes.
- Utilize 5S principle throughout the shift to keep all operating areas safe and clean.
- Verbally communicate with technicians during shift change.
- Read, write, and send standard shift \xe2\x80\x9cpass down\xe2\x80\x9d notifications via email.
- Report process problems, safety issues, maintenance issues and any other areas of concern. Open, honest communication is a must!
- No experience necessary but prefer semiconductor work related background (Cleanroom, Wafer Fabrication).
- Education: High School degree or equivalent is required. Basic math skills are required, and the candidate must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Learn basic manufacturing procedures and use of wafer fabrication equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Be able to learn all applicable software tools within the Manufacturing Execution System (WipTrac). Have basic fluency in MS Word, Excel, PP, DB.
- Ability to multi-task several job duties and assignments.
- Able to work overtime, weekends, and evenings as needed.
Physical demands include:
- Meet vision standards.
- Sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Lift 25-50 pounds.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity.
- Clean room environment.
- Special safety requirements (i.e., smocks, chemical gowns, glasses, gloves, face shields, etc.).
- Will be required to work with hazardous chemicals.
- May work around radiation type of instrument.
- May be exposed to an occasional loud noise environment.
- May be exposed to occasional extreme temperatures.
