Position Summary

The

PRN Registered Nurse (RN)

provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other staff, in accordance with current federal, state, and facility guidelines. This position is ideal for an experienced and caring nurse seeking flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a supportive, resident-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate resident care according to established policies and procedures. Supervise and evaluate the performance of CNAs and other nursing staff on shift. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely. Monitor residents' conditions, document observations, and promptly report changes to the physician and Director of Nursing. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in medical records. Participate in care planning and assessments to ensure the highest level of resident care. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. Ensure infection control, safety, and nursing standards are maintained at all times. Respond to emergencies and provide leadership during critical situations. Work flexible shifts as needed to provide coverage for call-offs, holidays, or census fluctuations.
Qualifications

Current

Registered Nurse (RN)

license in the State of Louisiana (in good standing). Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred. Strong leadership, assessment, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused. Must pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility immunization requirements.
