Position Overview

We are a Christian homeschooling family seeking a certified, compassionate in-home teacher to provide individualized instruction for elementary-age children with disabilities. This role is ideal for an educator who values flexibility, individualized learning, and partnering closely with a family in a faith-centered home environment.

The ideal candidate is patient, adaptable, and skilled in tailoring instruction to meet each child's unique learning needs while supporting academic, developmental, and spiritual growth.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction in core elementary subjects Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and abilities Implement accommodations and modifications as appropriate Maintain a structured yet flexible learning environment in the home Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, goals, and challenges Support development of executive functioning, social skills, and independence as appropriate Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and consistency
Required Qualifications

Valid teaching certification (state-issued or equivalent) Experience with or strong understanding of students with disabilities (special education experience preferred) Ability to adapt instruction creatively and effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to working in a Christian family environment
Preferred Qualifications

Special Education certification or background Experience in homeschooling, tutoring, or individualized instruction Familiarity with IEP goals, accommodations, or therapeutic collaboration Patient, calm, and flexible teaching style
