Private Duty Sitter for Seniors

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Private Duty Sitter to provide personalized, in-home care for elderly clients. This role involves offering companionship, assistance with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment to promote independence and well-being.

Key Duties:

Provide non-medical companionship, including engaging in conversation, reading, playing games, or accompanying on light outings. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor health and safety by observing changes in behavior or condition and reporting to family or healthcare providers. Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate records of care provided. Foster a positive, respectful relationship with seniors and their families, adapting to individual needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in CPR/First Aid required (e.g., from American Red Cross). At least 5 years of experience in senior care, home health aide, or similar role preferred. Dementia Alzheimer's Care. Strong interpersonal skills with empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity; ability to handle emergencies calmly. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; must pass background check. Basic computer skills for documentation; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
