We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Duties
Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
Document care activities accurately in care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
Support patients with memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia, through engaging activities and consistent routines
Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans and report any changes in condition promptly
Assist with medication administration under supervision or as trained, ensuring proper timing and dosage
Observe and record patient responses during care activities for ongoing assessment and adjustment of care strategies
Participate in training sessions on CPR, first aid, hospice care, autism support, or other relevant certifications to enhance caregiving skills
Requirements
Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly desirable
Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when required
Certification in CPR and First Aid from an accredited organization is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is expected
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia is a plus
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
