We are currently seeking a Principal Architect to support the varied needs or our business intelligence organization AND our operational development organization.

As a Principle Architect for BI and Operations, a typical day may include:

The ideal candidate should possess proven experience in adapting to new technologies due to the extensive range of support available. We are a .Net organization and candidates should have .Net or a demonstrated ability to learn new development languages. This candidate will need a strong background in database technologies, ETL, big data engineering, and exposure to AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have served in an architect or lead developer role in both operations-focused development projects and business intelligence engineering and/or development.

As the Principal Architect, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership, guidance, and direction to development teams while ensuring that the architecture is aligned with the business goals and objectives. You will also be expected to lead up providing guidance and direction for IT leadership on our largest and most critical development efforts.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Operational Architecture:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to define architecture solutions that meet business needs
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams in the implementation of architecture solutions
  • Develop and maintain architecture principles, standards, and guidelines that align with business goals and objectives
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the architecture is integrated and aligned with the overall enterprise architecture
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by introducing new ideas and techniques to improve the overall architecture and development process
  • Serve as a mentor to developers and architects to foster technical growth and development
Business Intelligence Architecture:
  • Strong background in Azure Data Factory environment and Data Bricks engineering
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft BI stack and cloud technologies
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
  • Excellent understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years in architect or lead developer roles
  • Extensive experience with .Net and database technologies, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
  • Exposure to AI technologies, such as machine learning and natural language processing
  • Strong knowledge of software design principles and patterns
  • Experience with operations-focused development projects and business intelligence engineering and/or development
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
