Job Description

The Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of STREAM Academy. This role requires a collaborative, organized, and innovative leader who can support teachers, foster strong relationships with families, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strong instructional leadership and support high-quality teaching aligned with Florida BEST standards. Oversee daily school operations, scheduling, discipline, attendance, and campus safety. Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Supervise and evaluate teachers; lead professional development and coaching. Support our Aerospace and STREAM-focused programs through partnership coordination and curriculum integration. Implement school policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements. Lead student intervention plans, MTSS processes, and data-driven decision making. Manage parent communication, conflict resolution, and school culture initiatives. Support after-school programs, events, and special projects as needed. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and administrative team to support enrollment, marketing, and community outreach.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Minimum

3 years teaching experience

Minimum

2 years leadership experience

(Assistant Principal, Dean, Coordinator, Lead Teacher, etc.) Strong understanding of Florida BEST standards and K-8 curriculum Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to build positive school culture and support diverse learners

Preferred:

Master's degree in Educational Leadership or similar Experience in private school or charter school leadership Familiarity with MTSS, SEL, and data-driven instruction Experience with Aerospace, STEM, or STREAM curriculum integration Comfortable supporting faith-based character lessons for our Wings of Grace partnership Experience with accreditation processes (Cognia or similar)
