Are you ready to go beyond?Job Summary:Pratt & Whitney\'s Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) engineering module is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineering Professional. The Project Engineer will be responsible for part-level ownership, task planning, and execution to ensure the Integrated Product Team (IPT) achieves goals for the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). The IPT has responsibility for the entire life cycle of the part and as such the Project Engineer will be engaged in activities ranging from validation testing to Engineering Changes, from production delivery support to field support and investigations. Qualified candidates need to be able to effectively lead a diverse team of individuals to meet requirements and achieve goals. Candidates need to be technically proficient, communicate effectively, and be customer focused. Travel for this role is up to 10%.Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenshipKey Responsibilities:Provide project management and leadership to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) that includes design, structural, durability, aero, materials and manufacturing engineers.Lead the IPT through successful technical and program reviews, including the management and closure of key technical risks and issues.Plan and manage IPT budgets, schedule, and technical metrics to requirements in collaboration with the CIPT.Be accountable to CIPT for part level ownership, including communication, risk management, and execution to program requirements.Participate with the CIPT in communicating to engineering and program management.Coordinating designs for development or operational engine programs (Class I & Class II Engineering Changes), fabrication (manufacturing/suppliers/vendor trips), validation (Engine Build-Test-Teardown, ACIs- Analytical Condition Inspection, FMRs- Failure Malfunction Report), and sustainment (Component Field Limits, Merlins-Field Inquiries, Deviation Requests) activities.English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak EnglishBasic Qualifications:Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or Aerospace Engineering with 8 years of aerospace industry experience or project management or an Advanced Degree in Engineering or MBA and 5 years of aerospace industry experience or project management.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Trained Control Account Manager (CAM) & Proficient with Teamcenter, MS Project and SAPBachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in mechanical or aerospace Engineering.Demonstrated successful experience using Agile preferred.Prior team leadership experience preferred.Experience executing Engineering Changes through the Product Change and Incorporation Review process (PCIR).Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g., CORE, QCPC, Process Certification).What is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
