Job Summary



Seeking a Principal with over 15 years of experience in Alation to lead strategic data catalog initiatives and drive enterprisewide data governance and metadata management







Serve as the subject matter expert for Alation guiding the overall strategic implementation and evolution of the Alation data catalog platform Collaborate with senior leadership and crossfunctional teams to align Alation capabilities with business data governance objectives Design and enforce enterprisewide data cataloging standards policies and best practices to optimize metadata management Oversee integration strategies between Alation and diverse data sources BI tools and cloudonpremise systems Drive innovation by staying abreast of the latest Alation features and industry trends recommending platform enhancements to improve data discovery and usability Lead the development of comprehensive training programs and documentation to empower users at all levels Establish metrics and reporting frameworks to monitor platform adoption metadata quality and governance effectiveness



Roles and Responsibilities



Lead the endtoend configuration deployment and administration of the Alation platform across cloud and onpremise environments Partner with data stewards analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored Alation solutions Provide expertlevel guidance on Alation best practices troubleshooting and issue resolution Monitor platform usage and adoption delivering insights and reports to key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement Collaborate closely with IT data engineering and security teams to ensure seamless data integration accessibility and compliance Identify and implement opportunities to optimize metadata management and data catalog processes Mentor and lead junior team members fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence in data governance

Benefits

Compensation range: $120,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
