WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Montgomery County DHHS, STD/HIV Services, Client Services Unit and Medical Clinic, serve a diverse population of individuals who are HIV positive, seeking medical treatment, and are uninsured or underinsured. We also offer case management and support services to eligible county residents.
What You'll Be Doing
------------------------
This is a front-line, patient facing position. The Principal Administrative Aide will:
Provide general reception and office support for the
HIV Client Services unit and HIV Medical Clinic
including but not limited to providing interpretation services over the phone and/or in-person as needed; receiving/triaging telephone calls; informing staff when clients arrive; and/or referring clients and community medical facilities, who are seeking patient appointments, to the intake on-call staff.
Demonstrate general clinical record management utilizing the County's electronic health record system (NextGen) to include but not limited to checking clients in/out of appointments; scheduling/rescheduling clinic appointments; scanning eligibility documents into the client's record; and collecting and completing the batching of clinic fees.
Develop/modify forms, methods, procedures for more efficient processing of recurring office tasks; maintain/order office supplies; make recommendations for use and procurement of office supplies and equipment.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
This position requires working with a multilingual community. The successful candidate may be required to pass a Basic proficiency language examination assessing the following skills: oral communication, reading comprehension, and interpreting.
Minimum Qualifications

Education
: Graduation from high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.
Experience
: Two (2) years of progressively responsible office support experience.
Equivalency
: An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted.
