is currently seeking a

Production Associate

. This position will be responsible for production and packaging of our standard and custom sheet metal paint test panels. The position requires a high attention to quality details and the use of industrial fabrication machinery.

Responsibilities:

Learn and operate machinery including, but not limited to: Surface Grinders, 20T and 35 T Bliss Presses, Shears, Brakes, Slip Rollers Sand Blasters Fast-paced automated press operation Continuously and consistently inspect sheet metal part quality Precisely count sheet metal parts before packaging Detect and report unusual or defective materials to the supervisor Ability to cross train and work any of the numerous areas within the department Follow Lean Manufacturing 5S practices Operate a forklift, JIB crane, or sling to carry raw materials or completed product Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Skills/Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent Basic math skills Understanding of how to work from blueprints and written specifications Working knowledge of basic computer software Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand for 90% of work day if needed Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary Ability to work in loud conditions that require hearing protection

Desired Skills/Experience:

Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks Experience operating JIB cranes and slings to hang, lay, or move large coils of sheet metal
