Job Description

JOB SUMMARY


This position is responsible for setting up and operating stamping presses, pre-setters, and other secondary metal processing equipment.

Responsibilities include:


Maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Set up compound presses. Adjust, and operate stamping presses and other secondary metal processing equipment. Make stock guides adjustment. Miner maintenance repairs Set up coil line and feeder equipment to feed material into press. Perform in process checks on parts and minimize scrap. Maintain a clean work area. Perform work in line with quality requirements and ensure that parts are made to print. Operate a forklift on a regular basis. Data entry on computer system Perform daily checks on machines. Able to train others on equipment and processes. Additional items as assigned by supervisor.

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY


This position interacts with other manufacturing personnel, project managers, and area supervisor.

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE


High School graduate or GED 5+ years of experience setting up and operating stamping presses, pre-setters, and other secondary equipment

EQUIPMENT USED


This position will use a stamping press, other metal forming, fabricating, micrometers, calipers, sheer, small hand tools, and processing equipment.

WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS


This position works on the manufacturing floor. They must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time. Lifting and kneeling are required as well as stretching overhead and bending.
