We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of presses and machining equipment, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. The Press Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining different press machinery to produce high-quality components and assemblies. Responsibilities
Set up and operate various presses including stamping presses, flexo presses, and press brake machines to produce parts according to specifications.
Utilize CNC programming skills to operate CNC milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment for precise fabrication.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), CAD drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate production.
Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment using CAM programming tools; adjust tooling and machine parameters as needed.
Perform routine maintenance on presses and machining tools; identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; ensure proper storage and inventory management.
Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to verify dimensions.
Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety standards; follow all safety protocols related to factory operations.
Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, fabrication processes, and packaging operations as required.
Document production activities accurately; assist in continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating industrial presses such as stamping presses, flexo presses, or press brake machines within a manufacturing facility.
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining processes including CNC programming (Fanuc controls preferred), CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming software like SolidWorks or CAM tools.
Ability to read blueprints accurately; understanding of GD&T principles is highly desirable.
Experience with fabrication techniques including welding, tooling setup, assembly line work, and materials handling.
Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and basic math skills for quality control purposes.
Knowledge of factory safety protocols; experience with forklift operation is a plus.
Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks), CNC controls (Fanuc), CAM programming, welding techniques, and general manufacturing processes is preferred.
Prior warehouse or factory experience demonstrating the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
