Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating press brake machines, specifically a 600-ton hydraulic press brake, and possess the ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and CAD drawings. This role is crucial in forming and shaping metal components according to precise specifications and plays an essential part in our production process.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate a 600-ton hydraulic press brake to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Read and interpret manufacturing prints, CAD drawings, and technical schematics to ensure accurate production of components.

Select appropriate tooling and machine settings based on material type, thickness, and desired specifications.

Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures to ensure quality and compliance with tolerances.

Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tooling to maintain product quality.

Monitor equipment performance and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance personnel.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to ensure efficient production and timely delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience operating a press brake is required, preferably with large hydraulic machines (600-ton or similar).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing blueprints, and CAD files with high accuracy.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Familiarity with metal types, bending tolerances, and press brake operations.

Ability to use precision measuring tools and instruments.

Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical and operational issues.

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as required (typically up to 50 lbs).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
