Job Summary:

Johnson Metal Works, a reputable family-owned metal fabrication company, is actively seeking an experienced Break Operator to join our dynamic and fast-paced shop. With a focus on serving various sectors, including structural and OEM Industrial, we work with a range of metal types and thicknesses, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in sheet and plate forms. This role requires the ability to read complex shop drawings, calculate bend angles, and program a break for intricate components. Attention to detail, independence, and strong teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

Primary operation of hydraulic press brake. Proficiency in working with metal alloys, standard shapes, sizes, and configurations. Calculate bend angles and material stretch outs. Solid understanding of intermediate-level mathematics. Operation of various tools, including drills, hand tools, mag-base & press, Ironworkers, Bandsaws, and Grinders. Interpretation of shop drawings or "blueprints." Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions of a technical nature. Operation of different tools and troubleshooting equipment problems. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Involves the operation of heavy equipment, including production machinery, forklifts, and commercial vehicles with trailers.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of Metal Fabrication experience (Required). Welding experience preferred (Current Weld Certs Preferred). High School diploma or G.E.D. 2+ years in a similar position. Comfortable working in an industrial environment. Clean drug test. Ability to lift 75-100 lbs. * Reliable means of transportation.
