ABOUT WISC KIDS CLUB PRESCHOOL:

Our Kid's Club Preschool provides excitement, fun and learning for ages 2-5. Students have access to a mini-gym, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, and turf, which enhances gross motor skills and creates a healthy attitude toward physical fitness. Our dedicated staff strive to provide an environment where children can play, learn, and explore. Our program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten through a curriculum that promotes education, physical activity, and cooperative play.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking passionate and experienced Preschool Teachers and Assistants to join our staff. Staff are responsible for managing and teaching a classroom of preschool students, while ensuring that everyone is engaged and learning. They must have an understanding of early childhood development to effectively plan and execute lessons within the classroom. Teachers will delegate tasks to assistant teachers and work with the preschool director to adhere to the school's policies.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Maintaining professional attitude, behavior and dress at all times Serve as a team leader by motivating and building positive working relationships with staff and parents Ensure parent communication is done in a professional/timely manner Maintain a safe and organized environment for the students Be a positive role model and develop good relationships with students by consistently providing a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere Provide comfort to distressed students through compassion and tact Maintain sight and sound of children at ALL times and in all places Assist students with self-care tasks/toileting (as necessary) Help children develop social skills by encouraging them to interact with others through play activities Provide academic support to students by assisting in developing early literacy, math, and science skills Conducting group activities that promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles Teaching students basic classroom skills such as sharing and taking turns Helping children develop social skills by encouraging them to interact with others through play activities Preparing a daily lesson plan based on the school's curriculum guidelines Record and report any accidents and illness Report any suspected child abuse and speak with Director of any concerns Attend Staff Meetings as requested Complete required trainings within the designated time frame Complete tasks assigned by immediate supervisor
Work Schedule: Set schedule for Monday to Friday ranging from 7am-6pm. (8 hour shifts and a one hour lunch break)

Preschool Teacher Requirements and Qualifications

18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent Associate or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, teaching, or related field preferred Certification as Certified Childcare Professional preferred 1+ years of experience working with young children Must meet all state licensure requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
