At A to Z Building Blocks, we're looking for a caring and dependable Preschool Teacher to join our team and help guide children ages 3-5 through their most exciting years of growth.

Schedule & Availability

We are open Monday-Friday, 6:00am-6:30pm, and we're looking for someone who can work full-time with open availability. Flexibility is appreciated as preschool classrooms follow structured routines with lots of active transitions.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Your day is filled with play-based learning, school-readiness activities, and meaningful connections.



Daily preschool activities include:

Greeting families and helping children transition into the classroom Circle time with stories, early literacy, songs, and group learning Centers such as dramatic play, blocks, sensory, math, art, and fine-motor exploration Small-group instruction to support kindergarten readiness Outdoor play to build motor skills, teamwork, and confidence Meals, snacks, handwashing, hygiene routines, and guided independence Rest/quiet time with calm activities Afternoon enrichment, projects, and supervised free play Classroom cleanup, sanitizing, and preparing for the next day

What You'll Do

Support play-based lessons and learning experiences Lead circle time, centers, projects, and social-emotional learning Foster positive friendships and help children build strong communication skills Supervise outdoor play, group time, transitions, and daily routines Help with meals, hygiene routines, and classroom organization Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging environment Communicate positively with families and support a team-focused classroom Follow child care licensing rules and safety expectations

Physical Requirements

Able to lift up to 50 lbs Able to sit on the floor, kneel, bend, and move quickly when needed Able to walk, stand, and move throughout the day Able to see, talk, and hear clearly in a busy classroom

Qualifications

Must be 18 or older CPR/First Aid & Food Handlers (or willingness to obtain) Able to pass a background check & drug screening Willing to complete 20 hours of approved training Reliable attendance is essential
