Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote literacy, math, and physical education. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students. Provide individualized support to children with special needs through early intervention strategies. Assess children's progress through standardized testing and informal assessments to tailor instruction accordingly. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, behavior, and academic progress. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in teaching methodologies. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and other documentation as required. Foster an understanding of child welfare principles to ensure the well-being of all students.

Skills

Strong background in early childhood education with preschool experience preferred. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children in various settings including daycare, private schools, or special education environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff members. Ability to teach physical education activities that promote health and wellness among young children.

Pay: $12.75 - $15.00 per hour
