Job Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and collaborating with parents and staff to ensure a positive educational experience for every child. Experience in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development is highly valued. The Preschool Teacher will play a vital role in laying the foundation for lifelong learning and development.

Duties



Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall childhood development. Plan and execute daily lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies suited for preschool-aged children. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful environment. Provide individualized support through early intervention techniques and special education accommodations as needed. Foster social skills, emotional regulation, and positive interactions among children through engaging activities. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with parents to discuss children's progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on child welfare and childcare best practices. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and licensing requirements related to childcare and preschool education.

Skills



Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and early intervention strategies. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for preschoolers. Ability to work effectively with children of various developmental stages, including toddlers and children requiring special education support. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues professionally. Experience working in daycare settings or private schools is preferred. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to promote positive classroom environments. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including those requiring additional support or tutoring services. Passion for early childhood education with a commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week

Work Location: In person
