Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support early childhood development.
Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management and supports children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive growth through hands-on learning experiences.
Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions between activities while maintaining high standards of childcare and classroom management.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones using clear and compassionate language.
Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, share best practices in childhood education, and ensure a cohesive learning experience for all students.
Experience
Prior experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; familiarity with toddler care and childhood development principles is highly valued.
Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
Knowledge of educational philosophies such as early childhood education standards enhances your candidacy.
Proven ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners while maintaining a nurturing environment.
