Duties
Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, integrating early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and creative activities to promote holistic development.
Manage classroom environments effectively through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies that encourage cooperation and respect.
Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments.
Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child welfare, progress reports, and developmental milestones.
Support children's social-emotional growth by implementing child welfare best practices and promoting inclusive play.
Maintain detailed records of classroom activities, student progress, lesson plans, and incident reports to ensure compliance with educational standards.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to childhood development and early childhood education.
Lead physical education sessions that promote motor skills development and healthy activity habits within the classroom setting.
Assist in preparing children for transitions to kindergarten through targeted tutoring and skill-building exercises.
Skills
Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating a deep understanding of childhood development principles.
Strong knowledge of curriculum development techniques, including Montessori methods and literacy education strategies.
Experience with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques tailored for young learners.
Excellent classroom management skills that foster a positive learning environment conducive to exploration and growth.
Ability to plan engaging lessons across multiple subjects such as math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
Effective communication skills for building collaborative relationships with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
Familiarity with standardized testing procedures used to assess early childhood progress.
Experience working within private school or daycare environments is preferred.
Knowledge of child welfare policies and best practices in childcare settings.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners including toddlers, children with special needs, and those requiring early intervention services.
