Position Overview
:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Preschool Teacher to support lead teachers in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a classroom or daycare setting, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to helping young children develop cognitively, emotionally, and socially.
Responsibilities
:
You and the Co-lead teacher and other staff members will work closely to ensure a safe, engaging, and educational environment for the children. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting the co-teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
Supervising children and ensuring their safety at all times.
Assisting with classroom management and helping children follow routines.
Encouraging children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive activities.
Supporting the lead teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
Helping with snack and meal times, as well as restroom needs as required.
Communicating effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress and daily activities.
Assisting in observing and documenting children's behavior and development for future planning.
Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Supporting the center's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
Collaborating with other staff members to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements
:
CDA required
Prior experience working in a classroom or daycare setting is
required
.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
Ability to work effectively in a team and take direction from other teachers and staff.
Basic knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
