Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble meals according to established recipes and menus, ensuring consistency and quality. Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, including correct food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Serve meals to clients or customers in a courteous and efficient manner, maintaining excellent food service standards. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and organizing supplies for efficient workflow. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health standards. Assist with catering events or special meal preparations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing.

Skills

Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable. Excellent food handling skills with a focus on safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Experience in food service environments such as restaurants or catering operations is advantageous. Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance for efficient meal preparation. Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. Good communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members and serving customers courteously. Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
