Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our free ministry organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of women 5-18 weeks gestation. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical imaging techniques. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with advocates on the mobile unit, as well as with our medical director when needed.

Responsibilities

Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes. Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine appropriate imaging protocols based on patient needs. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate findings. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort. Document and report results clearly and concisely, adhering to departmental protocols. Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout the imaging process. Stay updated on advancements in sonography and diagnostic radiology practices.

Experience

Proven experience in maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology is preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques is essential. Excellent communication skills are required to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Previous experience in a clinical setting performing sonography is highly desirable.
