to join our high-quality Pre-K program serving 4-year-olds in Mecklenburg County, NC. Our mission is to ensure every child is kindergarten-ready through developmentally appropriate, engaging instruction in a nurturing environment.

As a Meck Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will provide a structured, caring, and inclusive classroom that supports children's development across all domains: cognitive, physical, social-emotional, and language.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with NC Foundations for Early Learning and Development Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues Maintain accurate classroom records including attendance, assessments, and portfolios Participate in ongoing professional development and coaching Collaborate with teacher assistants, support staff, and administrators to ensure a high-quality program

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Birth-Kindergarten, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field NC BK (Birth-Kindergarten) or B-K add-on licensure (or be eligible to obtain it)

Preferred:

Experience working in a Pre-K or early childhood setting Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and GOLD assessment Strong classroom management and communication skills

Expected hours: 40 per week
