Overview


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Preconstruction Manager to lead our project planning and estimation efforts. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating preconstruction activities, developing accurate project estimates, and ensuring seamless communication between design, engineering, and construction teams. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing advanced management software and industry-leading tools to deliver successful outcomes. The Preconstruction Manager will be instrumental in setting the foundation for project success through meticulous planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Duties



Lead and oversee the preconstruction process from initial concept through project award, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards. Develop detailed construction estimates using take off software and collecting bids Prepare and review project schedules utilizing Buildertrend to establish realistic timelines. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, contracts, and technical drawings to accurately assess project scope and requirements. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather necessary information for project planning. Utilize Buildertrend and other construction management software for document control, RFIs, submittals, and communication tracking. Assist in bid preparation by analyzing project specifications, site conditions, and material costs. Support contract negotiations and review contractual obligations related to project scope and deliverables. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards across all preconstruction activities.

Skills



Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Schematics tools. Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and project scheduling methodologies. Experience with construction site coordination, blueprint reading, contracts administration, and schematic interpretation. Excellent project management skills with a focus on organization, time management, and multitasking. Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while maintaining clear communication channels. Solid understanding of construction processes including design development, cost control, risk management, and project delivery methods. Familiarity with construction site experience is preferred to better understand field challenges during planning phases. This role is ideal for a proactive professional eager to contribute to complex projects by leveraging technical expertise and strategic planning skills in a dynamic construction environment.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
