Your day at Sheridan Molding and Engineering

Sun-up in St. Francis, WI. You walk into the toolroom at Sheridan Molding and Engineering (4140 S Nevada Ave., St Francis, WI 53235), review a new CAD model, set tooling, load stock, and bring a VMC to life. By mid-morning, you're dialing in tight tolerances on an EDM. After lunch, you code a G- and M- sequence to finish a critical mold component, verify specs with micrometers and calipers, and partner with engineering to shave minutes off a cycle without sacrificing surface finish. You close the day documenting results and leaving the work area spotless for tomorrow's builds.

Location: St. Francis, WI -- Onsite (Sheridan Molding and Engineering, 4140 S Nevada Ave. St Francis, WI 53235) Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday (6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Travel & work arrangement: This position will be based at our St. Francis, WI facility.

What you'll do

------------------


Set up, operate, and program CNC equipment (mills, lathes, routers) for precision machining work. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to plan toolpaths and workholding. Machine a range of materials to produce accurate mold components. Load raw stock and tooling; monitor operations and part quality. Inspect finished components with precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify specifications. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Record production data and maintain complete, accurate documentation. Collaborate with engineers and production teammates to optimize machining processes. Uphold safety protocols and sustain a clean, organized workstation.

Minimum qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining preferred. 5+ years operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
