Vibrant-America Clinical Laboratory, a new high-complexity lab in Santa Clara, CA is seeking Pre-Analytical Lab Technician to join our team in a full-time position (NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED). The ideal candidate will be performing a high-volume of DNA extractions using automated liquid handling systems and maintaining organization of specimens. Responsibilities:

oThis role will be performing quality control and quality assurance procedures while complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laboratory requirements

oUnder the supervision of the General Supervisor and CLSs, the Laboratory Technician will prepare reagents and/or specimens for testing and process specimens via automated systems in accordance with the laboratory's standard operating procedures (SOPs)

oThe Technician is responsible to operate laboratory instruments and equipment. Trouble shoot and problem solve with laboratory instrumentation and assay systems as needed.

Monitor and perform preventative maintenance as required for machine performance. Verify and keep meticulous and organized records of specimens, tests, instrument logs, and technical analyses. Label specimen tubes accurately and consistently. Achieve processed samples into samples racks, log into LIS and keep samples refrigerated. Remove expired samples from refrigerators. Utilize the company Laboratory Information System as trained to do so.
Qualifications and Skills:

Ability to read, understand, and comply with detailed procedures that ensure the safety of all

Must be flexible to work different shifts, such as Saturdays and evenings based on the needs of the lab

Demonstrated ability to work both independently, following detailed work instructions, and as part of a cohesive team that together completes daily sample intake and processing in a timely manner

Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to meet timelines

Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills are essential

Detail-oriented and conscientious

Ability to work full-time schedule that may include weekend days or off-schedule requests when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
