Position Summary

The

Veterinary Practice Manager

is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational, administrative, and business functions of the practice. The Practice Manager ensures a healthy and efficient work culture via building a highly skilled team and drives business success while maintaining the highest standards of client service and team morale.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

As Veterinary Practice Manager, you will:

Operational Leadership



Oversee all clinic business operations, including workflow optimization, scheduling, and resource allocation Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations Maintain facility standards, equipment readiness, and safety protocols

Financial & Administrative Management



Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and monthly performance metrics to make a successful business model Oversee billing, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and reconciliations Collaborate on pricing strategy, inventory controls, and expense management

Human Resources & Staff Development



Recruit, hire, train, and onboard support staff and administrative personnel Conduct performance evaluations, coach team members, and implement development plans Promote a positive workplace culture and manage team communications

Client & Community Engagement



Improve client experience through quality service and effective communication Handle escalation of client concerns to resolution Support marketing and outreach initiatives to grow client engagement

Vendor & External Relations



Manage relationships with suppliers, service vendors, insurance partners, and community organizations Negotiate purchasing agreements and contracts when needed

Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of

3-5 years of management or supervisory experience

, preferably in a veterinary practice environment Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and performance reporting Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff Proficient with practice management software and common business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)

Preferred Qualifications



Bachelor's degree and/or V Tech certifications Experience with HR functions and compliance issues Familiarity with veterinary terminology and clinical workflows Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
