:
The Practice Coordinator is responsible for daily oversight of administrative responsibility for the Hospitalist/ICU program. The Hospitalist/ICU Practice Coordinator will have a visible presence and interaction with multiple hospital departments including the Medical Staff Office, community providers and specialty physicians. The Practice Coordinator will work closely with the Program Medical Director and Vice President of Operations (VPO) to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the program. The Practice Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of our Company and adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Roles and Responsibilities - Day to day operations of the practice will include but are not limited to:
Serve as a liaison between Hospital departments, Hospital Medical Staff Office, and the Hospitalist/ICU team. Provide information and resources as needed.
Understand the site's requests around committee participation and assist Medical Director with ensuring Hospitalist/ICU participation
Prepare Census list for Hospitalist rounding team
Communicate to Hospitalist/ICU team key announcements and maintain important team documents.
Serves as on-site lead for resolving escalated patient issues in-person or over the phone; resolves complex or critical situations involving patients and customers.
Independently performs high level technical and administrative work
Screens incoming email, mail and telephone calls to assign priority, route as needed, identify additional resources needed to address and/or respond to the communication.
Facilitates the resolution/prevention of billing errors, outstanding charts and documentation compliance. Serves as the liaison between hospital, practice and billing company.
Support company Credentialing team to ensure credentialing and provider enrollment packets are complete; assist by proactively following up on missing documentation.
Support Company Credentialing team as needed with Provider Enrollment, Billing, Payroll and Compliance teams.
Maintain provider files in accordance with practice requirements and hospital compliance.
Assist with provider schedules, schedule conflicts and schedule maintenance.
Plan, execute and resolve all routine technical needs of the practice (phone, copiers, fax machines, PCs, etc.).
Coordinate date/time of Monthly Site Review and participate with updates and follow up on action items.
Provide administrative support to Hospitalist/ICU Medical Director including special projects, assisting with agenda of monthly and quarterly meetings, and meeting minutes when indicated
Maintain a Master team list and hospital contacts
Assist Hospitalist/ICU team with death certificates and other forms completion
Supports practice with other projects and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications include:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
1-3yrs of experience
Demonstrate ability to set priorities, coordinate diversified and multiple activities, and make appropriate managerial decisions.
Possess advanced problem solving and team building skills.
Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
Computer knowledge experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Electronic medical record data access and data collection.
Ability to interface with leadership and various departments within client hospital is crucial.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
