Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician with a strong background in power plant and heavy industrial environments. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment that support power generation, distribution, and plant operations. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively in demanding industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in power plants, substations, and industrial facilities. Work with switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, generators, motors, lighting, and grounding systems. Read and interpret one-lines, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Perform conduit installation, cable tray work, pulling and terminating power/control wiring, and equipment setting. Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using meters, meggers, and diagnostic tools. Support installation and maintenance of control and monitoring systems. Follow OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and site-specific safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work, and confined space protocols. Work collaboratively with supervisors, project managers, and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred. State or local journeyman electrician license (or ability to obtain). 3-5 years of electrical experience in industrial or power plant environments. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, and industrial practices. Skilled in conduit bending, wire pulling, cable tray installation, and terminations. Experience with high-voltage systems and power distribution preferred. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a drug screen and background check. Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Work Conditions

Work performed in power plants, substations, and industrial facilities. May involve night shifts, outages, or weekend work during scheduled shutdowns. Physically demanding work: climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces or at heights. Strict adherence to site safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Pay & Benefits

Base Hourly Rate (paycheck):

$33.50/hr

Employer-Paid Benefits (health, vision, dental, retirement):

$15.79/hr

Total Compensation Value:

$49.29/hr

Overtime (after 40 hrs/week):



Overtime Pay Rate (time-and-a-half on wage):

$50.25/hr

Employer-Paid Benefits on OT:

$15.79/hr

Total Package on OT Hours:

$66.04/hr
