The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado (USA), is the nation\xe2\x80\x99s primary laboratory for research, development, and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. The NREL mission is to develop renewable energy and energy efficient technologies and practices, advance related science and engineering, and transfer knowledge and innovation to address the nation\xe2\x80\x99s energy and environmental goals. This position is within the Renewable Resources and Enabling Sciences Center (RRES), which is part of the Bioenergy Science and Technology Directorate working to advance the technologies to produce bio-based energy, fuels, and products. RRES has an opening for a full time Postdoctoral Researcher within the Synthetic Biology and Bioconversion group.
The successful candidate will work on the discovery of metabolic pathways and enzymes in white-rot fungi and the utilization of these organisms for various biotechnological applications. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team of biochemists, metabolic engineers, chemical engineers, and material scientists.
