Job Description

The Systemic Autoimmunity Branch (SAB) within the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), NIH, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms driving systemic autoimmune diseases, particularly lupus.

About the position

The successful candidate will lead bench-based, mechanistic studies aimed at understanding immune cell activation, tissue injury, and repair pathways in autoimmune disease. The research will combine pre-clinical and tarnslational models, and advanced molecular analyses, including multiomics and various immunologic techniques. This position offers a rich training environment in translational immunology, access to state-of-the-art core facilities, and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact research advancing the understanding of autoimmune pathogenesis.

Qualifications

------------------

Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field. Strong hands-on experience with preclinical models, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, RNA/protein assays, tissue-based functional studies, metabolomics and/or bioinformatics is a plus. Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and interpret mechanistic experiments. Record of scientific productivity as evidenced by publications. Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
