Posting Summary


The Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) invites applications for one Postdoctoral Associate position.

The successful candidate will report to Dr. Hao Wang at CAIT and work independently for various research projects related to transportation sustainability and resilience. The candidate is expected to perform both fundamental and applied research and publish research findings in journal and conferences. The candidate will also assist in the development and writing of research proposals for external funding.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience


This position requires PhD in transportation engineering, industrial engineering, energy engineering, or related engineering fields. The candidate should have skills and experiences in at least one of the following areas: 1) advanced data analytics for performance prediction and risk analysis of transportation infrastructure; 2) network level optimization for transportation decarbonization, energy supply, and resilience planning.

The successful candidate is expected to be self-motivated and can think broadly and conceptually and formulate creative, sophisticated solutions to complex problems, prioritize workload, and work independently with general supervision.

The position requires good communication and presentation skills, and strong proficiency in technical writing and editing. The individual will be expected to hold high standards in how information is developed and presented. In addition, this position will require the ability to manage, document, and organize multiple simultaneous projects.
