Job Title Portfolio Manager, Securitized Credit



What is the opportunity?

To assist with sourcing, analysis, research, and pricing as part of the Securitized Credit investment team with a focus on CMBS securities.

What will you do?

  • Evaluating IG and sub-IG rated structured credit securities as investment opportunities with a particular focus on CMBS
  • Confidently express views regarding portfolio construction and security selection
  • Keeping abreast of macroeconomic and microeconomic trends affecting the financial markets and potential impact on the CMBS market
  • Constructing the portfolio within the broad risk tolerances determined by the portfolio management team
  • Participate in investor meetings to help build the Structured Credit franchise
  • Conducting on-going, consistent, in depth research on specific sub asset classes and their components and communicating specific asset class opportunities to the broader investment forum
  • Monitoring portfolio performance on an absolute and relative basis
  • Analyzing historical performance data and preparing attribution analysis
  • Demonstrates a high level of technical knowledge, confidence and commitment to the role and delivers a high standard of service and performance to clients
  • Understands industry products and practices and is knowledgeable about RBC BlueBay products, guidelines, procedures and processes
  • Ensure that client portfolios are managed in accordance with applicable Fund and Investment Guidelines
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • 8-10+ years relevant experience of investing within CMBS markets
  • \xef\xbb\xbfAbility to perform fundamental credit analysis, identify and assess key risks in a transaction (financial, market, operational)
  • Good understanding of origination and structuring process for complex transactions
  • Good analytical skills, including modelling
  • Strong client skills and ability to build rapport
Nice to Have:
  • Bachelors or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a quantitative focus (Preferred)
  • Knowledge/understanding of other ABS markets (Preferred)
