As a
Portfolio Implementation Associate
, you will take direct responsibility for discretionary client and investment product implementations, collaborating closely with investment consulting, operations, and portfolio management teams. You'll manage key activities such as account setup, trade instructions, in-kind transactions, and operational risk reviews, ensuring smooth and efficient execution. Providing comprehensive operational support for new client accounts and assisting with ad hoc client requests, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and facilitating seamless communication across teams. We will count on you to:
Assist with the development and maintenance of detailed project plans for each asset transition
Assisting with the legal review process between the client and internal Mercer Legal to ensure that agreements are negotiated timely
Work with operational stakeholders to ensure that all client setup requirements are considered and executed timely
Work with the Mercer client team to ensure that clients' legacy investments are transitioned efficiently and accurately from the existing structure to the new investment line-up
Ensure that all new client onboarding compliance requirements are met
Assist with implementation of trading requirements / improvements with Daily Operations team
Assist with all aspects of trading related to new client onboarding events
Communicate and document agreed upon asset allocation and trade results
Be risk-aware and contribute to culture of continuous improvement
What you need to have:
Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business or related field of study
1-6 years of experience in Portfolio Operations, Fund Accounting and/or Custodial oversight, with progressive increase in responsibilities
Strong analytical and organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
Clear and effective communication (both verbal and written) while engaging directly with clients
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
General experience with client relationship management systems, databases, and trading systems (Charles River) is advantageous

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment where adherence to procedures and controls is critical
Basic understanding of investment management concepts, markets, and operational mechanics of institutional portfolios and investment vehicles

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $54,000 to $108,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
