We are seeking a
Pool Manager
to lead all aspects of our pool operations and ensure a safe, enjoyable, and first-class experience for our members and guests.
Position Overview
The Pool Manager oversees all daily operations of the Club's pool complex, including staff management, safety, maintenance, member relations, and snack shack operations. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining a fun, family-friendly, and safe aquatic environment while upholding the Club's high standards of service and hospitality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all pool and snack shack staff.
Develop weekly work and rotation schedules for all pool employees.
Purchase and manage inventory of pool chemicals, supplies, food, and beverages.
Maintain proper chemical balance and coordinate mechanical maintenance with the Club's maintenance department.
Ensure all payroll records are accurate and submitted on time.
Register members and process charges for guests, lessons, and other activities.
Conduct staff orientation and ongoing safety training programs.
Enforce all Club rules regarding safety, behavior, and conduct.
Plan and direct special pool events and social activities.
Develop schedules and programs for private and group swim lessons.
Represent the Club in aquatics-related events and member activities.
Adhere to the annual pool operating and staffing budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
Maintain comprehensive records of pool attendance, water chemistry, incidents, staffing, and maintenance logs.
Implement and manage pool safety and emergency action plans.
Assist with pool opening and closing procedures at the beginning and end of each season.
Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors to maintain and improve pool facilities.
Provide aquatics-related updates for the Club newsletter.
Manage the pool's lost and found system and ensure locker and changing areas remain clean and orderly.
Supervise and manage snack bar operations.
Maintain a visible presence during pool hours and special events.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA and safety requirements; maintain updated MSDS documentation.
Attend regular staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of pool or aquatics management experience preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on member satisfaction.
Certified Lifeguard with current CPR, First Aid, and AED credentials (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and health regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Prior experience in a private club, resort, or hospitality environment preferred.
