Looking for day or evening part-time job? Guam Sleep Center is currently seeking applicants to fill Part-Time Polysomnographic (Sleep) Technician Assistant position. Entry Level/Trainee Prerequisites & Requirements:

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Must be CPR certified or be able to obtain (within the first four weeks of starting) Agree to background check Agree to Volunteer night/day education Read and Agree to the Employee Handbook Must be a team player and demonstrate an excellent work ethic Work 3 to 5 nights/days per week 1 month probation period Verify medical order and protocol Complete and verify documentation Prepare patient for routine polysomnography Greets patients, show them to their assigned room and acquaints them with the procedure and facility Ensures that special care needs are fulfilled for pediatric, geriatric and patients that require personal assistance Vitals Aware of emergent medical protocols Interacts appropriately with patients Placement of EEG electrodes accurately using the International 10-20 system. Positions and attaches thermocouples, respiratory belts, pulse oximeter and other sensors according to laboratory standards Placement of ECG, EMG and EOG electrodes according to laboratory standards. Connects all sensors and electrodes properly Performs appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals Perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting Wakes patient in a courteous manner Removes all electrodes and sensors from the patient Ensures that all glue and tape are removed from the patient Input patient notes and info Endorsement to Sleep Technicians on duty Scanning, shredding all documents. Collect Co-pay Cleans and disinfects electrodes, leads and sensors in accordance with sleep lab infection control procedure Distributes clean equipment and supplies to hook-up areas Inspect and replace all electrodes and sensors Checks each head-box to ensure that all leads are plugged into the correct port. Monitors linen/supplies inventory Proficient in equipment care and maintenance Checks patient rooms, lobby area, and supply area to ensure all supplies are well-stocked and rooms are neat Stripping/making beds, laundry Service Management and Professionalism Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards regarding safety and infection control issues Demonstrate effective written and spoken communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to follow directions. Demonstrate appropriate social skills
